Week 3 2009 Fall Soccer

Brrrrrrrr.... Its Cold

It was a bitter cold week for our young soccer players at the Sorenson Center. Wednesday the 30th was exceptionally cold, and we even experienced light snow. We learned some new techniques on low shots, and we had a great time on the soggy field. We'd like to make note that we had over 35 participants that showed up that night, which was one of the coldest practice days I can remember. We would like to applaud all those that toughed out the cold weather and made it to both practice and the game this week. We maybe experiencing more cold weather throughout the season, and we want to make sure your participants are taking full advantage of practice, but in a safe and warm manner. Here is a link to a website that has ideas on dressing your kids for soccer on cold weather days.

How to Best Dress for Youth Soccer in Cold Weather

We had an incredible week for sportsmanship, and we'd to again thank our coaches for their support of the sportsmanship initiative
